22. Crying in the Rain

这首歌大概算的上是欧美最具生命力的情歌之一了，这首出自颇具传奇色彩的民谣女歌手/词曲作者Carole King的作品，早在1962年就为The Everly Brothers赢得Billboard #6的佳绩，后来Simon & Garfunkle也翻唱过，但是最powerful的翻唱是由来自挪威的pop rock组合A-ha在90年代作出的，A-ha对原来舒缓深情的作品来了一次颠覆性的改造，引入了突出的节奏吉他和鼓点，开头部分的雨声更是伴随着强劲的闪电和雷声，连歌词中的“cloudy sky”都变成了“stormy sky”

       A-Ha乐团可谓是挪威流行乐界的奇迹。初识他们是因为曾经非常喜欢的偶像团体A1的那首《Take On Me》曾是当年A-Ha蝉连全球13个国家排行榜榜首的冠军曲目。查了查资料，果如其名，他们的辉煌成绩令人惊叹：啊哈！出道20年来，A-Ha历来的7 张专辑总计创下2700万张的销售，其中3专辑都是雄霸英国金榜亚军的大作，历年单曲分别在全球27个国家拿下63个排行冠军，同时也在英国金榜上写下 13首TOP 10单曲的光辉纪录。这首"Crying In The Rain"并不是他们原唱，但却对原先的版本进行了颠覆性创作性的修改，首先是在歌曲的开头和结尾象征性地加入了雨声，闪电声，同时加入鼓声表现出雷雨交加的背景效果，创作出伤情阴暗的音乐主题，为此他们甚至还将歌词“cloudy sky”改成了“stormy sky”，而且隐隐中透出的哭腔，可以说是将悲伤的基调发挥到了极致！

充满曼陀铃和竖琴声音的歌曲当中透显出一个宁静而美丽的少女形象，歌曲是从爱尔兰传统歌曲中改编过来，Hayley Westenra的声音如同丝线一般，在演唱技巧上更已达到完美的境地，而嗓音天生的优美更是让人不得不赞叹和艳羡。

24.Someday.Sugar Ray
Sugar Ray（据说应该翻译作“拔丝”乐队），他们的音乐风格用一个字就可以形容——Summer，他们只在夏天出片，歌儿一听就让人想起夏天—— 总是阳光明媚、活泼愉快。与此相反的，他们的歌词却是比较深的，那个身上有着13个纹身、英俊得完全不像个rock band主唱的Mark McGrath经常用很夸张的肢体语言在MTV中摇摆，加上十分十分正宗的传统摇滚式配器，恐怕在今天活着的乐队中找不出第二个这样的band.

25。Iris—— Goo Goo Dolls
清脆急促的吉他solo，John Rzeznik饱含沧桑的低沉嗓音，对世事、爱情满腹的疑问，后面的****，“And I don"t want the world to see me， "Cause I don"t think that they"d understand. When everything"s made to be broken， I just want you to know who I am！” 这是有着无穷韵味的箴言。



1985年主唱兼吉他手John Rzeznik与玩重金属乐的表哥Robby Takac找来前鼓手George Tutuska，于美国纽约州水牛城组成了三人摇滚团体Goo Goo Dolls。成军15年以来发行过6张专辑，虽然前4年的摸索期所发行的两张专辑并未让他们尝到成名的滋味，却使得Goo Goo Dolls那种多元流行的摇滚乐风在乐坛中留下良好的印象，而1991年的第三张专辑《Hold Me Up》终于让他们渐露头角，在摇滚乐领域内小有名气。接着主唱兼吉他手并且负责词曲创作的John Rzeznik力图改变风格，于1993年发行了第四张专辑《Superstar Carwash》，风评与销售却地狱般的糟糕。遭受天大打击的Goo Goo Dolls重新思考在1995年推出反省作《A Boy Named Goo》，才扳回一成赢得许多摇滚电台的高度播放与支持。但随着成功而来的不是喜悦却是冲突与痛苦，首先因为前鼓手George Tutuska个人兼差太多而被两兄弟开除，虽然新的鼓手Mike Malinin很快地就为乐团代来心的音乐生命力，可是跟随成功而来的压力，使得George Tutuska写作的灵感窒碍不前。

　　此时所幸电影《City Of Angels》邀请他们为其原声带写作歌曲，这才解决了他们事业的危机。所谱写演唱的《Iris》一曲，不仅为他们赢得1999年第41届葛莱美音乐奖" 年度唱片""最佳流行演唱团体""年度歌曲"等三项大奖提名，将Goo Goo Dolls的乐坛声望与作品销售数字提携至顶端外，《Iris》一曲的制作人也是《Dizzy Up The Girl》此专辑的制作Rob Cavallo更以此获得"年度最佳制作"大奖。

　　对于自1987年便已发表其首张同名专辑的Goo Goo Dolls而言，《Dizzy Up The Gril》其实已是Goo Goo Doll的第六张专辑，但却是他们于1996年以《A Boy Named Goo》专辑(首次在主流乐坛绽放光芒之后，令人期待近三年之久后于98年9月发行的首张全新专辑。Goo Goo Dolls在此辑中的表现，很明显地又比前作成熟进步不少，圆融地将各种不同性格--强硬中带着温柔、侵略中又带有技巧，毫无间隙地凝聚成一首首精彩之作。因此，你可以在辑中同时听到铿锵有力的吉他节奏与悠扬的小提琴旋律共存的抒情曲《Black Balloon》、活泼有力的流行曲《January Friend》，以及充满爆发力又不失优雅的摇滚曲《Bullet Proof》。此辑不仅已在美国创下首批销售达50万张金唱片纪录，发行至今亦已累积销售近2百万张。

26. Mystical Machine Gun——Kula Shaker比较难得的是，Kula Shaker的音乐受了很多东方思想的影响，这一点同时表现在歌词、音乐和配器之中。乐队唯一真正意义上的专辑就是《Peasants， Pigs & Astronauts》专辑干净的声音，迷幻的吉他，如印度梵音般的和声，充满现场感的录音，总之在当时背景下，属于绝对的异类。
