2. Position Purpose/Objective:
The role combines the business thinking, analytical skills and technical expertise to perform information analysis and decision support.
Work with end users & IT functional support staff to support, troubleshoot, and develop Cytec's corporate Business Intelligence system to meet the needs of Cytec's sales, finance and supply chain organizations.
This position requires strong analytical skills, an aptitude towards the many different database structures, and excellent communications skills.
In addition, liaison local/regional application issues with the right IT support groups.

5. Major Accountabilities:
Support, troubleshoot, and develop Cytec's corporate Business Intelligence system to meet the needs of Cytec's sales, finance and supply chain organizations.

Education: Required: Some college education
Preferred: Engineering or Management Information System degree

Experience:
3 to 5 years experience in maintaining a Business Intelligence System.
Specific Skills:
Ability to translate & write complex SQL Queries.
Understanding of relational, and dimensional models.
Candidate must have work experience in a Business Intelligence toolset, Cognos preferred.
Knowledge of ERP systems.
Able to work with a diverse set of end users to document business needs & translate them into technical requirements.
The ability and desire to learn new technologies quickly.
Excellent written & oral communication skills
Strong tam and customer service focus.
Well organized, self starter.
