Solution Engineer


Job description:
·  Ability to lead all pre-sales activities in a sales cycle and serve as one focal point to the various units involved, across all products and services.  

  

·  Be part of setting the selling strategy and the plan to execute it and take part in the execution of this plan by: studying and analyzing customer needs, defining the solution that best fits their needs, preparing (or utilize existing) information to support the selling process - such as market analysis, informative papers, competition analysis, etc.


·  Provid e   business and t echnical expertise to sales  managers and lead in finding the best solution and delivery plan for the customer needs. In a customer facing role the Solution Engineer will work very closely with Sales managers in developing, engaging in, and winning new business opportunities within the territory.  


·  Having a good understanding of the telecommunication market, the competition, and business processes.  The Solution Engineer will be required to utilize this knowledge to enhance customer relationship and help form the sales strategy as well.


·  Experience in business analysis, large delivery projects and understanding of software development environment.


·  Ability to lead processes and people as well as good team player.


·  Strong oral and written communication skills in English and local language.

Chinese – mother tongue, English - fluent

Job functions:

·  Maintain broad awareness of Amdocs' wider portfolio, learn the customer needs and look to drive greater penetration within the account for Amdocs solutions and services where appropriate.


·  Articulate clearly the benefits of the Amdocs business value proposition to senior decision-makers within Amdocs’ customers and prospects.


·  Develop and deliver customised presentations.  


·  Develop business justifications for the customer.


·  Prepare responses to Requests for Proposal, Requests for Information, and Quotation.



Previous experience:
*  previous pre-sales experience in the Telco industry

*  Technical background - must

*  IT work related experience - must
