1. Make sure that your X server is running
#ps -ef |grep Xsun
check Xsun daemon is running. If not,
#cd /usr/dt/bin
#./dtconfig -e
#./dtlogin start
2. If your client machine B and your host machine A is in the same subnet, that is, have the same broadcast address. Your can directly use Xwin,exceed to login.
For Exceed:Choose Exceed XDMCP-Broadcast program
For Xwin: perhaps default is set to XDMCP-broadcast
3. If B and A not in the same subnet but can be interconnected on net. You should choose XDMCP-indirect or XDMCP-query method to start client X-win app on B.
These can be set in Xconfig program(for exceed).

BTW: As for SunOS 5.5.1, ssh is not defaultly include in operation system. As far as I konw, Solaris 10 is coming up. But mainly adopted Solaris version is now 7,8,9(5.7,5.8,9)
